Bei all den schlechten Nachrichten aus Österreich... ...
Und bei der Gelegenheit sieht man auch mal, was von den Gerichten zu halten ist, die uns eigentlich vor sowas schützen sollen. Der EuGH hat nämlich erst eine mündliche Verhandlung abgewiesen und dann nicht geguckt, ob das überhaupt mit der Grundrechtscharta vereinbart ist, sondern nur nach formalen Kriterien entschieden. Und was mich daran am meisten ärgert:
Diese Woche hat die EU-Kommission die deutsche Fassung der Bestandsaufnahme über das Informationsmanagement im Bereich Freiheit, Sicherheit und Recht veröffentlicht und darin die Vorratsdatenspeicherung gelobt.ZUM KOTZEN. Aber es war ja auch mal wieder klar. Deutschland ist so ein Schwergewicht in der EU, wenn wir nicht hinter den Kulissen dafür wären, gäbe es gar keine Vorratsdatenspeicherung.
Update: Heise hat einen Artikel mit spannenden Details aus der Bestandsaufnahme. Insbesondere findet sich dort auch, mit welchen Fahndungserfolgen sie die VDS zu begründen versuchen.
Unter den Fahndungserfolgen, die mit der Speicherung von Fluggastdaten erzielt wurden (S. 47), finden sich Beispiele aus den bereichen Kinder- und Menschenhandel, Kreditkartenbetrug und Drogenhandel, jedoch kein Hinweis auf Kontrolle möglicher Täter mit terroristischen Absichten.Das passt ja alles mal wieder. Die Fluggastdaten sind übrigens im Moment noch kein Teil der VDS-Datenbanken, aber sie arbeiten daran.

Wild Dogs Commute
Wild dogs that commute from suburbs to scavenge in city The clever canines board the Tube each morning. After a hard day scavenging and begging on the streets, they hop back on the train and return to the suburbs where they spend the night.
Experts studying the dogs say they even work together to make sure they get off at the right stop — after learning to judge the length of time they need to spend on the train. The mutts choose the quietest carriages at the front and back of the train. They have also developed tactics to hustle humans into giving them more food on the streets of Moscow.
Dr Poiarkov told how the dogs like to play during their daily commute. He said: “They jump on the train seconds before the doors shut, risking their tails getting jammed. They do it for fun. And sometimes they fall asleep and get off at the wrong stop.” The dogs have learned to use traffic lights to cross the road safely, said Dr Poiarkov. And they use cunning tactics to obtain tasty morsels of shawarma, a kebab-like snack popular in Moscow.

Due to the combination of requirements, a reflection rainbow is rarely visible.
